"Pre-order - shipping mid-late February" item number: 321996528385Anyone notice RCM just happened to have removed the Pysanka from their "New Releases". Did any of you call RCM to ask why that might be? (My bet's on production issues.) Yet everyone's "scrambling" around looking for the golden egg......funny!

Do you think the RCM will start new "egg" series? The Pysanka alone could keep repeating with different designs and artists. Thoughts?

I think most people associate the Pysanka with Easter which would likely prevent it from becoming a successful series. Seasonal coins, another example would be Christmas, most often hold limited appeal for that same reason.

Quote:Both - Colonoal Acres and The Coin Shoppe raised the price for: 2016 $25 Piedfort Coat of Arms Canada Fine Silver Coin they listed it for CAD 129.95 , issue price was 99.95 and still available at RCM for issue. The above posted 25 hours earlier. What do we see now: The Coin Shoppe dropped the price of the CoA coin to CAD 99. This is how the way down starts.....

Pysanka A pysanka is a Ukrainian Easter egg, decorated with traditional Ukrainian folk designs using a wax-resist method. The word pysanka comes from the verb pysaty, "to write", as the designs are not painted on, but written with beeswax. Many other eastern European ethnic groups decorate eggs using wax resist for Easter...... https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pysanka******* Maybe not everyone realizes the fox chase ends at the bunny rabbit? This year Easter Sunday is March 27th so there's no rush for RCM to release it this early. But what do you suppose will be the interest in the coin by April 1st?

Well if so then we can guess what comes next, contrary to the old saying we'll want to put all our eggs in one basket. Yes indeed a "basket case".

I'd also add that yesterday, before RCM pulled this coin from "New Releases", I noticed the price was $114.95. This is an unusual situation, various listings to buy something pre-sale that's not officially released and at a price for which the public has no ability to determine the pre-sale markup. Panic driven and not entirely ethical, in my most humble opinion.
