Yes John, the "some still feel that way" category has your name on very top line!

John's name would be right next to mine... I imagine in the future, someone with a heat sealer could easily make "fake" packaging errors... especially now that the uncirculated sets don't have " Royal Canadian Mint" embossed into the pliofilm... the profit potential is too high for someone devious-minded to ignore...

Indeed SPP, you're up there in a tie for that top spot! And yes the counterfeit aspect is a reality. If RCM hadn't sent an email legitimizing the packaging error, I think the present interest in it (and price) would be far less, scepticism much greater.

One of the small problem with the first sold set is that even with the knowledge the seller, knew there was many more sets found never adjusted the listing, but still buyers has to have an idea what something is worth. Was offered one of these sets yesterday at CAND show for 70.00, politely refused. Oh yes I have to take a back seat to the great errors SPP has, they are amazing.

Looking forward to seeing you at spring Coin Expo. For those who have met John100, they already know that he is one of the nicest gentlemen on the bourse floor - he always brings coffee to my table, knowing I am stuck behind there, and it is always greatly appreciated!!

The only way the seller could have adjusted the listing was to end it and start over. You can't make changes on ebay if there are bids. Now that's it's over the bidder could cancel if they have a problem with that fact that there are more than that one.

I think, the buyer, that will be satisfied with the purchased price, means he bought for more or less current price, no need to cancel. But.... imo, someone may "punish" the greedy seller, very easy: after receiving error set, replace the set itself with the normal one and claim "The item is not as described" Very simple and educational. P.S. : please do not do this if the seller is Ok, and you do not want to cheat (cause it still a lie).

The only point with this sale was the one of a kind, when you know that's not quite true, but like I would have relisted, without those wordings, just me. Mentioned earlier a large dealer offered this set to me for 70.00 at CAND show yesterday.

Considering the error was first reported on Jan. 15 on the CCF, how can people expect to find any error coins today? If they were any, they would have bee been snapped up long time ago. Here is the original thread from Jan. 15 https://goccf.com/t/250523&whichpage=1

^^^^ Not true....the lady at Canada post today said no one there including the manager heard anything about the errors and no one else had been in there yet looking through the sets....she took bundles of them out of unopened boxes for me.
They also had a couple of the 2 ounce glowing wolf coins in stock for issue price....are these coins going for above issue price?

That mat be true for your post office but you can't say that for all post offices. Especially in urban centers like Vancouver. Remember the UNESCO stamp error? Once the error became known people rushed out to buy them and the stamps were gone in a few days.
As for Canada Post staff, they are idiots, some didn't know a what a FDC was. Of course they would not know of the error unless they into the hobby and follow coin forums.
I went to the main post office in Vancouver on Jan.15 and they did not even have any uncirculated sets. Vancouver seems to be a bad place to find coins. A lot of post offices have cut back on coins.

I've seen a couple of the GITD wolf coins go for more than issue price(a week or two ago), sold one myself and the second will sell in a couple days($220CAD now). I'm not sure that the BIN ones are selling.

I checked out the local Post Office on that day as well and they hadn't yet received their order yet, although the CP at the shoppers drug mart had them in stock, no luck there. But considering RCM emailed customers who's orders had already been shipped advising them of the flawed product, seems reasonable they'd also notify their partner CP if an order was already shipped as well. If it hadn't, no need to inform them of anything.
