Numisma Pillar of the Community United States 4963 Posts	Posted 02/05/2016 5:30 pm I found this in a dealer's bin last month, and for the $0.25 US I figured I may as well. An EF coin worth about fifty cents has been reduced to one tenth of its original value. Be thankful it's not a corroded 1952 penny, you could have been faced with a twenty-five fold reduction in value. XWLCoins Valued Member Canada 320 Posts	Posted 02/07/2016 11:07 am I've often wondered why would happen if you put it in CLR for a couple minutes and give it a gentle rub with a soft cloth. Would this damage the coin further? Or would it take the rust away. Report this Post to the Staff
