RCM seems to be just bidding it's time throughout 2016 into 2017, tossing out one or two little bites a month, enough to keep avid NCLT collectors interested and optimistic on the short term. But the way I see it, a mishmash collection of a variety of odds and ends, just because the issues can be accumlated cheaply or the mintage is low, does not make for an interesting collection holding any long lasting appeal. All these single "hot" issues a few months down the road will be forgotten simply because they are no longer "new".

Curious about the 1 oz. Fine Silver Coloured Coin - A Celebration of Her Majesty's 90th Birthday - Mintage: 7,000 (2016). Let's say, hypothetically, that the Queen doesn't make it to her 90th birthday - what happens to the value of the coin? Do they cancel all orders? Is it some kind of crazy to think about that? I'm not a fan of the Monarchy but seriously, long live the Queen!

They would probably release it anyway.
The interest in the coin would undoubtedly cause the value to rise, at least temporarily.

The Queen's birthday is actually April 21th. On that hypothetical scenario, another commemorative coin (or more) celebrating her life would certainly be issued. To that topic, in 2002 a commemorative silver dollar was issued honouring the life of The Queen Mother (Queen Elizabeth II's mother) at the issue price of $49.95. For collectors of silver dollars, it's now very difficult to find for less than $200.00.

All these single "hot" issues a few months down the road will be forgotten simply because they are no longer "new". This is exact my thought for the recent years. All the previously "hot" coins, although some sells about the issue, but people just not interested in them. Who wants the GITD Dino-1 for more than CAD 60? Will you pay more than issue for Two Loons? Any buyer of Zodiac Rabbit and Zodiac Tiger for CAD 150 each? Still interested in the Mongolian Hedgehog for CAD 400? Continue to grab First 20for20 for CAD 30? Happy with leaving 5 of Autumn Bliss in collection? With above and many others coins, just do not even think they will "do well" over the years. Chosen and meaningful numis editions - yes, all this randomly hot jewelry stuff - not at all. So to keep total mix of hot coins in the collection and grab more and more - only if you really just want to spend the money and organize tasteless storage / warehouse of the coins.

Thanks for confirmation, Pixu Quote: might also be an info that I should buy anotherone Do you think, that 2 coins side-by-side will add value to your collection? To resell locally (assuming that you are in the Europe) - yes, probably worth it. This seller for Inukshuk is very serious. He / she has only 2 listings for sale, and both Inukshuk. Style "let's make some money on quick resell".. 10 Inukshuk coins offered as a lot Item ID = 322058388335

Quote: Do you think, that 2 coins side-by-side will add value to your collection? You are right, that I'm in Europe.... but prices over here tend to be 10-20% less than in Northern America on RCM coins. With customs and VAT charges flipping coins in general is not a big deal appart from e.g. "Lady Bugs" Still I do buy sometimes multiple coins, because they look nice in pairs. I'm a collector and buy coins for myself - still with the price cuts on secondary market I reduced buying more than one coin dramatically!

@Silveroid You are very right. I almost lose my VIP level, because I limited my purchase from RCM in the past year. Luckily, my rep said to me that I can still get the same service from him even if I really lose it after July 1st 2016. Hopefully it is true.

Birthstones sell out quickly every month. 3000 is easy to unload.

The subscription to the full birthstone series was also sold out at the onset. Due to that, it's very likely a substantial portion of the monthly 3,000 mintage is reserved for subscribers.
