I found the following 1 pence coin at work, it has a back but no front and it looks likes its been hollowed out. Can anybody tell what this?

Half of a Magicians coin - in the hole would go a magnet, then in a second coin another magnet. A complete example can be found here http://www.coinauthentication.co.uk...letter4.html about half way down.
