I think it's a small date ,the 7 looks pretty even at the top with the 9 and the 1's,from what I've understood was large date 1970 S has a slightly lower 7?

Pics are a little to small for me but both look like large dates not small dates.

Sorry , I might be wrong ,this has always been a tough one for me also, someone help me out ,but looks like the one on left is a am. day and the right one is a LG. date?

We need closeup pictures of the date, and I agree with John1 they look like Large Dates.

Large dates....the curl of the 9 is a tell tale sign too...

It would be nice to have a better picture of the date area.

But I agree both of these look like large date coins

Both are large dates.

For me, the difference became obvious once I got a large date and a small date side-by-side. Once you see it, you know it.
