My wife's boss gave me a new coin today, Poland 2011 10 Groszy and guess what, it has a eagle, surprise, surprise

That Cook Island 20 cent posted by triggersmob featuring the Fairy Tern is a beautiful coin featuring a beautiful bird

A selection of major eagles appearing on US coins:  Note: the 1st eagle appearing on US gold coins is not included. Commemoratives, bullion, State Quarters, etc. are not included. I had to include the Franklin half to get an even number (20) of sub-images.

Pepactonius, great selection, thanks. 1 & 2 in line 3 are my favourites, my preference is for birds that look like the actual bird, not birds in coat of arms,

I hope you like these two "coins" They were issued to fund efforts to protect and preserve these Hawaiian birds and their environment. The best thing about these issues are their descriptive folders.
