#30 ...PC59-a7..39a+J2b
..a close 2nd was the PC59-39a5 because of the fine d/c at the top of L6 (maybe)..and the d/c in L 10 ..but in the wrong spot..

DEVLEC, you are correct with 39a+J2b (PC59-39a7).
I've been watching for that new 39a reverse since it was posted in August 2015, but haven't seen another, yet. Has anyone else found one?
I like all of those repunched letters. Those are some of my favorites also.
Number 31 coming up tomorrow.

Here is number 31. When you guess the variety, please point out the features you use to make the attribution.

I spoke too soon the other day. THIS is the reverse that I've put a few aside because of the repair of the vine at 2.

# 31..
PC59-451..with dies 45+J3..
Look at the RP's in the G and T of GRATIA..as the clincher on this one..
As okiecoiner also noted ..the vine at leaf 2 on this reverse..

Yes, good call DEVLEC. 451 (45+J3). This is one of those reverses which is paired with more than one obverse. What is the other obverse paired with J3? Which pairing is most commonly found?
The repaired vine at loop 2 is one of the most obvious repairs. Okiecoiner, which obverse are your supply of J3's paired with?

Phil .. I don't use Haxby's system, nor do I know how to or want to. I just collect varieties (the old definition) and neat looking things. But you guys are having fun, so more power to you.

Quote: Yes..PC59-361..obv 36 has that nice dot..
..but also remember that some of the obv 36 do not have that dot. I have one with the finest of d/c's starting in the "R" in Victoria..and the crack in the "R" of Regina is not there yet. It does not have the dot below in the bust. I also have the PC59-36a1 (36a+E37a).. also without the dot at the bottom..and without the above mentioned d/c's..in the "R's"..but with RP's in the rev C and T..and in the knob of the 9 and again in the 5. .
