So I am still learning about how metal reacts to heat and hammering. I have been making rings for a few years now mostly started with traditional spooned rings then moved onto folded rings. The dime on the right is one of my earlier efforts at making a ring from a dime. As you can see its lacking in detail and its pretty thin. The one on the Left is me putting what I have learned to the test. Anneal often and hammer slowly with very soft blows let the hammer do the work. I use a 4oz nylon hammer. The results I think are worth the extra time and effort.
