Hi everyone,

I was wondering about your opinion on this one. Today I received this nice thaler and now would like to know, how you would grade it.

Best regards from Berlin

In the US it would probably grade AU50. In Germany Vz-Stglz.

an attractive coin! I love these old german coins, there is so much variety. I think this one could push AU-55 or AU-58 fairly easily.

Thank you for your replies. I just was not sure about the thin scratches on the neck of the portrait but I was hoping for some grade around XF+/AU (vz/stgl.) as well. Anyway, I am quite happy that I could get this Thaler on ebay for a very reasonable price.

Best regards from Berlin
