Die chip implies an unintentional mark on the die, while a dot is used for intentional dot placed on the die? Is this right? Report this Post to the Staff

Personally, I would rather that CCCS be consistent with numismatic nomenclature and use the term 'die chip' (implies genesis of the anomaly) rather than dot (simply a descriptive term, and most definitely not intentionally placed on the die).
