Well I cannot really make out the monogram but it looks like a minor denomination from Europe, probably 19th century. Could well be a German States coin...

I agree - likely minor 19th (or, less likely, 18th) century coin, probably of a German state - and might be worth it to post the other side anyway.

I think I've got it.
Brunswick-Luneburg-Calenberg-Hannover, George III (maybe II).
Here's an 1814 pfennig that looks like it, but I can't be sure of the exact type or denomination. A diameter and weight would help, too.
