The dealer I bought this off of was going to send this off for grading and thought that it was a good candidate. Personally I'm probably going to keep it raw but wanted CCF's thoughts. The coin is actually very dark in hand, I lightened up the pictures a bit to allow easier grading. Patination, after all, is a form of light corrosion, usually forming a protective layer and enhancing the appearance. From an eye appeal standpoint, the patination has not helped in this case. A professional may be able to help this coin to improve eye appeal, but it would then carry a 'details: cleaned' comment. Report this Post to the Staff
