About two weeks ago I posted about finding a 40% Kennedy half dollar just sitting in a bank teller change tray.

I travel quite a bit within my home state so I've come to know most of the tellers within the six branches I frequent to the point I know them all by name. My branch always has the change tray out in the open where I can see whats in them

I have seen quite an increase in Kennedy half dollars and Ike dollars in these trays all summer long, not sure why but it makes life interesting.

Most of the time I find nothing but today was an extreme exception. In about ten dollars in half dollars I pulled this excellent bunch from the pile. What a score!

The 58 Franklin blew me away!

Question though, I'm less a coin collector than I am a silver hunter. I picked up the 2000 Kennedy S because it's flawless and I'm wondering if it's a proof or just BU. Opinions?

Nice finds!

The 2000-S half is a proof. Is it clad or silver?
Rest in Peace

Is that 1958 half a Philly or a Denver? Makes a pretty big difference, actually.
CRH Nickeloholic. 1,600,000 nickels searched in eight years! Have found FOUR complete Jefferson sets!

Excellent.

That 2000 S Kennedy has fields that look spotless. Very nice and somewhat amazing since it got tossed into a change drawer at some point.

Thank you for the kind replies. :)

John.

The 58 is a D unfortunately.

Coin Collector.

The 2000s is clad I knew immediately it wasn't silver but had the eye to realize it was unusual.

Forgive me as these are not roll finds but they were exciting finds at the bank so I thought it close enough. Seeing as I'm having a lucky day I think I'll head back out and pick up a box of pennies. Been awhile since I went through a box. :)

Keep your eyes on the teller trays! I can't even count how many silver halves and Ike's I've scored over the years ... Probably hundreds.
