Whoa! I've never had and don't even expect to own any gold coin!

This may be caused by my inability to save up for few years. Or a few months. Or even weeks...

Don't we wish they made coins like this nowadays for circulation?

Great pickup - congratulations and thanks for sharing.

Congrats on your purchase. I still haven't got a gold coin yet either. I look at them but then end up spending mu coin money on Morgan dollars instead. I just cant decide which gold coin I want since I will probably only get 1 or 2.

When I was 12 I did not have fifty cents in my pocket. If a person could start at a young age and keep the enthusiasm going for 60 years that would be amazing. The teen age years start to turn our minds towards other things. When I was 12 I wanted to be a herpetologist (study of reptiles). I used to hunt snakes and all reptiles of Florida that I could find in my area. No money in that and I did not stuff them. I just caught and kept them. Teen years blew all that into a cocked hat.

Very nice looking coin and very good that you saved and purchased
a gold coin at your age.

When I was 12, it was possible to purchase common gold coins in
the 2X face range. I remember I was offered them in a coin shop
at those prices, when I was 14. I often kick myself for not buying some
then.

YN C ...... I hope you keep picking up nice coins for the rest of your life.
You could end up with a very impressive collection.

Beautiful coin! I'm quite jealous, as I certainly didn't have anything that nice at your age!
