Which do you choose and why I love Morgan dollars and think they are the pinnacle of any collection especially the key dates and those DMPL coins. I don't really care for Peace dollars although they are a essential part of any collection. and yes I have two on the way. But given the choice,Morgan will win hands down for me. Your thoughts? |

I think the Peace dollar looks like a Jetson's hair do reject with the rays coming from the head and the open mouth blank stare. But the reverse eagle is nicely done |

In terms of aesthetics I like Peace dollar better. Everything on that coin just speaks to me: young(er) liberty with distinct feminine appearance, open mouth, spiked corona, eagle ... And the overall 20's feeling to it :D That said, I somehow think that Morgan design works better as a coin. It's very majestic, while Peace dollar is much more ... I don't know - intimate. |

The Peace dollar, while a beautiful vissage, she usually looks like marty's sister in that back to the future photo where she's fading away. Plus Peace dollar vamming ain't got nothing on Morgan's... #Morgan4Life! |

Wow Dave, now that is a dollar! Never seen one as slick as that one ;)
As for Morgan VS. PEACE, I certainly am in the Morgan boat on this one. If you would have asked a decade ago I may have said PEACE because I loved the reverse design. Anymore, there is just not enough details on the PEACE... not enough to study/look at ha. I love the intricacies of the Morgan design.
Score one more for the Morgan $$$

Honestly I'm not a big fan of either of them but if I had to choose I would pick the Peace dollar. I like the design better. |

I would have to go with Morgan over Peace. To me,it is hard to,find well struck Peace dollars. |

This is Morgan, later in life, after she lost her job in 1921 and had to take any job she could to pay the bills...  Oregon coin geek.....*** GO BEAVS ! ! ! ***

Now if we could put the Peace reverse with the Morgan obverse it would really be special.
I like the more classical liberty head. I like the Barber's also even if the head looks more like Apollo than Artemis
