Although toning and Peace dollars don't always play nicely together, this one has handled it pretty well, with just a bit of splotchiness (is that even a word ?). It is in an NGC holder. Care to venture a grade and an opinion on the color?

It's a nice one, very few marks of any kind and a decent strike. I'd guess MS-65 on this one.

Is there wear on the hair of the Lady? What grade did NGC say about it. I have a set of Peace dollars and I think the higher grades of these coins may be sleepers. I would like high grade 21's, 27-S, 28, and 34-S. High grade 21 most obtainable and is undervalued IMO. 1921 MS65 Peace dollar should be put away for grandchildren. Just like high grade LWH dollars from 1916 to 1928-S. I never see these coins at LCS in anything beyond Fine condition. These early 20th century silver coins in MS60 and beyond I would trade all my other coins for them I think. Them and Mercury dimes are gems in higher grades IMO.

The lady's hair is fresh from the salon. Unfortunately the stylist was a bit weak and couldn't press the comb hard enough. Seems to be a common issue with these ladies. What I'm trying to say is that the weakness on the hair is not from wear. It is the result of the high relief dies. Hey that's a nice jingle for Peace dollar dealers: "The weakness on the hair is not from wear"...

It looks like it could make MS-65.

I'd say MS-65 as well. Beautiful toning on the reverse.

Well everyone, the consensus is correct as usual. NGC MS-65 it is. Thanks for playing!
