This is a one year type coin. Most type collectors ignore it because it is the least distinctive of the four no drapery designs. It is also the rarest and most expensive. Some advanced collectors say, "Oh it's not scarce at all ..." except for the fact that strictly Mint State examples can easily sell for a five figure number. At rate here is my example, which I bought raw in one grade many years ago and now resides in a holder than claims another grade.

JJ Teaparty graded this coin EF-45 in the mid 1980s. NGC graded this coin MS-58, which is too high in my opinion. I think it is an AU-50 or 53.

I can see that being called EF-40 back in the 80s.
