I've had this in my Dansco for a while now and just noticed the reverse looks a little off. Like it was rotated by about 15 degrees counter clockwise.

I took Obverse picture and just the flipped page to take reverse picture.

Is this common for this year and mint of Morgan dollars?

1889-P-Morgan-Dollar...-Rotated-Die?

What do you think?

Thanks...Mont.

Morgans with slight rotation are not too difficult to find, and tend to carry little to no premium. Still cool, and a nice looking coin! VAM-18A?

VAM-18, nice. It does have the die chip? I think maybe I see it in the photo, but hard to tell.

What are the odds you could get a shot of the DIs for the VAM-18 page?

I went and looked at it again, looking for the DIs'. Couldn't find them, so I looked again for die chip. It is there. Hard to see, had to move coin around to get light to hit off it.

I am revising this to a VAM-18A(Still a hot-50). VAM World also mentions the rotated reverse as common for VAM-18A

..and there you have it, ha! Don't ask me why, but for some reason I have always enjoyed those what I call "reverse" slanted dates, where the 1 is set higher than the other three digits. Too bad no photos for the page though!
Rest in Peace

Thanks Dave. Got this one off the Bay a few months ago.

I always thought this was one you VAMMED for me, but I can't find any other posts on it in the grading or VAM sections.
