I did not notice the blaskey effect on this coin and assumed that it was PMD but thought it best to check with you folks first.

You can see the vise marks on the rim of the coin. Ruined a dime.

Very nice illustration, I paid $2 bucks for it from a dealer at the Johnstown coin show yesterday, got better deals on several other errors that I knew were legit, should have listened to my gut on this one, I knew better.

Usually, the dovetailing of the obverse/reverse rims are a good clue, rim elements just do not strike up at the edge of a clip or ragged planchet. As soon as I saw where the rims meet the gap - I knew it was post mint damage.
