Quote:That edge lettering gets me all worked up I like it too, and I'm very happy to see that the mint mark and year are not on the edge.

For how long do you all think this ASE will remain for sale on the US mint website?

When the 25th Anniversary set came out how much advance notice was given by the mint?

Different opinions....could be only until the end of the year or until a bazillion are minted. Depends on how you interpret the mandate for 30th Annie ASE's

Personally I think 2017 would be a good time to change the design of the ASE. I would think it would be eligible for a design change being its been the same for 30 years. At the very least have a new silver issue alongside the ASE. Canada has several Maple Leaf issues alongside the original.

My five piece subscription order was marked shipped today at 2:14PM EDT (per FedEx tracking site). Of course that is just a shipping label creation and tracking # generation, which means they should reach FedEx tomorrow, but probably not get to me (in CA) for another week.

APMEX selling this for pre-sale $54.99 (cash/wire) and $59.99 for PR-69 grades... Makes me think expectation is lots of gems

Here's a confirmation of a previous statement that it will be more cost effective for the slab people out there to just buy a 70 grade coin rather than attempt to submit one on your own. APMEX has 70's for $75 and it would cost a minimum of $85 plus shipping to submit...and...no guarantee of a 70 These will be even lower than that once they all hit the market ...and beware of buying a raw proof from a company that submits. There is probably a reason why they didn't submit this coin and are dumping it for a buck over cost.
