It has marks to where it looks worn on the back normally I would dismiss as being rubbed on something after it left the mint but looking at the front towards the top the coin is missing its ridge as if there wasn't enough pressure when it was minted. New to this forum any input will help.

Unfortunately, your coin is just damaged and the parallel striations are the giveaway. Someone removed the reverse rim with a grinder.

Welcome!

Agreed: post-strike damage.

A weak (low-pressure) strike will not have such a sharp border between strong details and missing details as we see along the words "E PLURIBUS UNUM". Typically the lettering will fade some. Also, if this were a low pressure strike, there would likely be similar weakness on both faces of the coin.

If the outer edge of the coin is concave, then I think it is/was encased. If not, then PMD as noted above.

Ive got an earlier nickel with the same wear but 1000000x worse to me it looks as if someone scratched it on concrete over and over and over out of boredom as a kid or something along those lines
