Hello, I'm somewhat new here with only a post or two under my belt. I happened across this 51S
Lincoln a few years back, and thought someone must have wanted a hole there to hang from necklace. So I put it with my damaged coins.
Not sure how it got out, but it was sitting on my desk, and I just so happened to hot glue a small magnifying glass onto the back of my iPhone, and put the penny under it and to my surprise, what I thought was a damaged coin, might not be. Could you please take a look at it. I don't want to speculate what it might be, this is why I came here. Look forward to the feedback. If it is an error, should I grade it for max profit, or sell it raw? Just asking. Thank you

The reverse clearly proves this is Post Mint Damage( PMD ) unfortunately value is only one cent, with over 136 million minted.

to CCF good luck on future finds, keep looking and have fun...

to the CCF, Shinderliter!
Unfortunately, I agree with Greasy Fingers - your coin is not an error. Were it mine, I would complete that person's task by drilling that hole. Then you could put it on your key ring.

to CCF.

I agree with Greasy Fingers above - it looks like someone took a cut nail (a square shaped nail) and drove it through your cent.

I also moved your post to the proper area to get more eyes on it too.
