Definitely not a stupid question. It looks to me like your coin has a flan crack as opposed to a die crack. When a coin is struck with a cracked die, the coin will have a raised line of metal. I don't think that a flan crack would enhance the value of this coin, but others here on CCF may offer more knowledgeable opinions.

Its an interesting coin to have, it appears like it has a minor lamination problem on the top right of the coin, probably caused by wrong composition of metal in the blank of the coin.I have a British Halfcrown similar to that Danish Krone.

I am unsure if this adds a certain value to the coin, but absolutely its a nice piece to own.

I hope someone with a better knowledge on those will explain the situation more proper.

Honestly, this looks like post mint damage to me. As Spence is saying, if it was a die crack, you'd have more metal instead of less.

This coin is made of aluminium-bronze, about 2.7 million have been struck (only 1925 had more), so it's not rare. The damage doesn't add value, but probably takes a bit of it.

I checked the websites around here (Danish and Norwegian), but this kind of coin isn't even listed, which means that it's most likely not a coin worth listing, which means that you can count on the value not being high, at best a few dollar. I know that I got my copy of this type (a 1925 on XF condition) from a local junk bin, if I remember it well. Paid about $1.08 for it, I think.
