I have several 50 Centavo coins 1964-1968 that have Type 7 written on the flip. Is this correct? On the Type Set Checklist it appears these should be Type 5. They weigh 6.5 grams and are 25 mm in diameter.

To which "Type Set Checklist" are you referring?

Can I ask you which type set checklist you are referring to?
According to me, this should be type 7 if you take all circulating Mexican 50 centavos from 1905. Weight and diameter are correct!

No, it's not inaccurate, they have just taken type 2, 3 and 4 and made it type 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3, where my type 7 (and apparently your coin sales man's, too) is their type 5.

I recently finished this Dansco Mexico type album.
It was a lot of fun filling all the holes.

If you are interested in 1905 to present Mexico coins, please consider buying Carlos Amaya's "Illustrate Epitome of Modern Mexican Coins and Varieties." He's a true scholar and I have no financial interest.
Beware of KM, Don Bailey and I messed around for years debunking the 10c corn ear variations, they have not updated.

I have seen two 1921 two pesos with full feathers on the eagle knee. Would have bought one but it was cleaned.
