So according to Coins and Canada there is a bit of a premium for the 1964 Charlottetown "no dot" variety. Reason I'm asking is I came across a fair number of 6 coin mint sets and not one had the "no dot" variety. I just got a number of the silver dollars by themselves as singles in the mint plyofilm and half of them are no dot.
Did I just get really lucky or were the "no dots" from a different run where the coins would have been packed as singles?
Also, would it be worth it (for selling purposes) to send the better of these coins off to ICCS and hope that they come back MS - 63 or better?
Thoughts and thanks for your time. Haven't posted in a while but have been lurking and learning.

aghawk, be aware that these coins would not get an MS grade as these are considered PL (plioflm), I don't think the PL coins draw as much attention as the true circulated MS coins do.

I don' t think think it would be worth the money to have them graded.

TPG PL No Dots have been auctioning on ebay for an average of $34.
I have seen a couple 1964 no dots graded MS64 and not PL and they went for an average of $89 each.

Thanks for the responses. I thought the uncirculated sets were regular strike but pulled out before they went into regular circulation.
What I still wonder about is why all the mint sets (6 coins) did not have one "no dot" and of all the single dollar coins I got half were "no dot". And from the PL coins does anyone have a guess as to how many "no dots" there are in relation to ones with dots.

I think $34 average for PL is high. $25 would be more like it. The coin is fairly common in PL. I sold one a couple of weeks ago. ICCS PL-65, $21.00. I sold a ear MS not long ago for mid $20's
