I have a RA proof coin #23 of 88 produced from the South Gippesland Bullion Co. Does anyone have an idea of the value? Thanks, Tommie

$50 Australian ?
So many different silver rounds are struck all over the world that given a few years almost all settle down to melt value.

It is a beautiful round in hand I am sure...I have seen pictures of it.

I absolutely love the look of bullion and it makes me feel good to have.

But I do tend to agree with DBM as to the eventual lowering of price to melt for a majority of rounds.

I tend to stick to government BU issues I can purchase at spot or not much higher, yet still are a collectible series (i.e. Libertad, Koala, Kangaroo, Wildlife, Elephant, etc.). They have their silver value, and over time increase at least the dollar or two over spot premium I paid. Sometimes more.

Despite this, I do sometimes buy a proof now and then that strikes me.

Which does not answer your question of course.

I do not know value, as I can't find a proof on after market on ebay or Google, except in 2014 for #25 of 88 sold on ebay...but I can't see what it sold for.

Tommie.

Palmetto State Bullion had the BU for sale for $50 but it looks like they are out of stock.
