First off you should know it is called a doubled die not double die. Coin lingo is important to know. The mark on the nose looks like a die chip or just damage. Here is a good resource to learn from. Take your time and read up on the minting process,it will help you. http://www.doubleddie.com/1801.html

Looks more like Die Deterioration Doubling. ( DDD)
