Good eye, Foxwoods! That is interesting indeed. It's $1 more than the regular W proof... for packaging, I guess?
Not a whole lot of fanfare (any?) on this one. Kind of like the "P" mint mark on the 2017-P cent.

Thanks for the heads up, will have to grab one! They will sell a ton of these sets once the word gets out.

I like the idea of an S mint proof ASE, but not the packaging. I might have to change it over to use a regular ASE proof box so that it can go with the other 30 years of boxes that I already have. Perhaps I'll get two, one to keep original and one for my ASE collection.

I might buy a couple as well. Hopefully mintage won't be terribly high when finished. Maybe the word won't get out to the very casual collector? But in this day in age of electric communications it is hard to hide these things :)

Seems like just a marketing gimmick to me. Its basically the same as the W proof that comes out every year, but the mintmark is different. I don't get why someone would buy this

Because if you've collected the series to date, you want/need at least one example of every issue. We collectors are a curious lot. I wonder if they will be throwing different MM's and finishes in other products as well... Maybe the uncirculated dollar set (if it exists this year) will have an ASE with a P mint mark!

I own every other ASE except for the 1995 W, why would I not want to buy this one?

They know what they are doing. They know a significant number of us will buy it.

I see the product limit is 75,000. I wonder if this means they will only mint 75,000 and make a new key for the ASE proofs or if they will offer more of the S-mint ASEs later as singles or part of another set?

That means that the guy on HSN will probably buy 50,000.
