I think the one was smoothed out when another coin hit it.

The 1 is still there, it is just damaged.

@Curtis, first welcome to CCF. Second, I agree with @aristarchus123, that the second numeral 1 looks like it was damaged by a hit from some object. Am I sure? No, but this seems to be the easiest and most obvious explanation. If you have a different theory, then please offer up that opinion.

Im more curious about the Curves in the 1 if you look carefully you can see the number 1 or default number has a very distinct curve

If not done from taking a hit then possibly 1 was pushed up like that from the crimping fingers of a rolling machine hitting it.

Yes, some sort of damage but since it is a Wheat cent I would keep it or drop it somewhere for perhaps a child or metal dectector to find.
