I didn't have any issues with the quarters. A couple of dollars had what looked to be a bad wash job but that's it..oh, and some "stuff" in the capsules but not a coin issue

Also...the possible DDO that was found on few dollars was determined to be Machine Doubling and not of any significance. I also will admit defeat in trying to image the ones I have. My USB magnifier won't work with WIN 10 so I just gave up

My set was supposed to be here this past Monday (based on tracking info), but now when I look it says status unavailable. Hmm wonder what the deal is...

Quote:I received that single Kennedy half today, and man oh man, does it look good out of the capsule. The seller stated that it would be sent in a flip, so I was surprised when it showed up as a cut capsule. It even included the COA. It is so pleasing on the eye, and it looks really good in the Dansco. The stark contrast between the look of EU and Proof is crazy. Wow oh wow, Darth! That looks fantastic in the Dansco!

Darth I moved one of the Kennedys from a 2X2 to a capsule, and man is it a sharp coin......one of my favs no doubt. I purchased cheaply a slabbed PCGS SP69 Kennedy I'm waiting on. So I'll have the full EU set in government packaging, one EU single Kennedy, one EU graded Kennedy and a single EU Jefferson nickel! :)

I may have to get a graded Kennedy too. Just because. Glad to see the enthusiasm for these coins, especially the Kennedy. The quarters are just as impressive too, and their enhancement is even more intricate. My 3 additional sets should be delivered tomorrow.

If they're still available by week's end I might increase my position on these. 1996-w dime, a one-off - sells for $12-15 raw. With a mintage of 1.2 million. And that's a dime. If the dime on this set even matches that price eventually (at one quarter the number produced), that represents over one third the cost of the entire set. And there's still 9 other coins in that set. And how many Lincoln or Kennedy collectors are out there VS Rossies? This set is a no-brained long-term hold. People are just shell shocked because the flippers got cold feet and there's this perception that modern mint issues lose money. But what about the 2012 proof set?

Admittedly, I don't like the burial mounds EU version as much as the others. the design just does not seem, to me, to lend itself to the enhancement. The mounds remind me of a couple blobs of solder dribbled onto the surface. I really like the Kennedy and Sac's REVs.

Quote: Has anyone else seen this on their sets and do you know what it is? @Lunch Money, I experienced a similar problem with one of the quarters in my 2016 ATB Proof Set, which prompted my returning the whole thing for a new one. My only guess is that it's an issue with the wash maybe having a chemical reaction with some other element in the minting and/or packaging processes.

Quote: My 3 additional sets should be delivered tomorrow. I lied! When I got home from church tonight I found that my other 3 sets had been delivered- a pleasant surprise, indeed! Delivery in 2 days! I will have to return one set, though. I'm not sure what's up with quality control, but all 10 coins were mistakenly struck in .9999 GOLD. Just ridiculous. Seriously, every coin in every set is dead-mint perfect, just like the first two sets I purchased. I can see no problems on any coin whatsoever. I couldn't be happier with this product. Like I've said before, this product release has been one heck of a roller coaster ride. It's been fun! Now waiting for October and those darn medals.

I know it does not mean as much really - but when I look at these and realize there were less of these made than many of the popular & expensive key coins in the hobby, it must makes me feel good to know I have been able to get something so rare at a decent price. Man they are beautiful in real life - I love the REV of the JFK and these just make it look amazing.

I know the label doesn't mean much to most here BUT it has all the "words"...SP70 Enhanced Finish...First Day of Issue...ANA Release ...Nice encapsulated/protected coins and at just a tad over $20/coin Definite hold for break up sale of singles
