One a 2006 and the other a 2007. Someone with too much time on their hands! Thanks for looking.

Even though they're well recognized as gimmicks, I still find them interesting. I have a double tails nickel and a hollowed out half-nickel but, not a double heads. Cool find!

See the seam under the D of 2007? Used to be able to buy them from Jake's for $2.95 (I think). So you just saved yourself #2.90! I've found two of the bases, no tops.

I have a two tailed Buffalo nickel, it's a pretty good conversation piece. My biggest fear is having it mixed in my other Buffaloes by accident.

My bank orders me $100 worth of pennies every week, so I thought I would try something different for a change and I got a bag of nickels from their coin machine. When I saw this coin, I thought I had something good, then realized I had read about these on this forum. When I checked it closer, I could see the cut line and knew for sure. Learned something here that I remembered. Thanks for the comments.

Somewhere out there is a magician who is going to look very stupid when his/her trick backfires.

Fun find!

I once found a 1971-D with a rotated die - which is know in this date. I was really excited...until I saw the seam.

Cool find!
