These posts baffle me. You have a major TPG slab and their in-hand evaluation. How do you expect an online grade with poor photography to do an equal or better job? |

Looks MS-62 to me with a shot at 63. These "you vs. a TPG slabbed coin" are for educational purposes for all that read these threads. When buying online, it helps to learn how photos come in to play when buying. A good way for you to test your skills. |

From what looks like lack of detail/wear in the headband and hair lock hanging down I would say AU55 on the obverse.

Just bought a 64 of this date last week and I looked at hundreds of them before making my decision for the only gold I still needed for the 13 piece type set.
Looks like it will make 63. I would say the scratch on the reverse right field might make me hesitate for this coin.

The reverse is much crisper than the obverse so perhaps the lack of detail on the obverse is simply a weak strike. One might expect both sides to wear evenly. So... if it is indeed a wak obverse strike, how much does that influence the MS rating?
