@USSID18, if you had radiation protection and could do the decontamination, I would gladly SHARE the collection.

Theft is the obvious one, but I don't really have anything particularly expensive, and much of what I do have is spread all over the place (not in a single convenient safe or anything), so I'd like to see them try. (Okay, maybe I won't actually like it, but yes, the idea is funny.)
I am, however, rather worried that I might be forced to move to another country and will have to leave the collection at the old home (because of our honestly insane [if perhaps fairly typical] export/cultural property laws - I've heard of people who were unable to take their own paintings while moving to another country, because they were declared cultural property). This is not a baseless fear, by the way - we really are seriously considering moving to another country.
Other than that, well, fire, but if that happens, the coin collection will be the least of our worries. Same for flooding (which is also very unlikely because our apartment is on the fourth floor).
And yes, I'm also slightly worried that whoever inherits my collection (if it even gets that far - see above) will sell it for tiny amounts. But I'm not sure why would they sell it at all (except perhaps to free up the space) - as I mentioned, there isn't really anything particularly expensive, so for 98% of the "collection" it won't be worth the hassle to sell anyway.

(It says "Russian Federation" right under my username, and yes, I am in fact in Moscow specifically.) Just curious that's all. Just because it says "Russian Federation" under your username doesn't mean you're in Russia. Are you American? Because you speak/write English very well.

No, I'm not American - I'm Russian (plus a bit Jewish), learned just about all my English in Russia (and/or online), and in fact have never been to any English speaking country (not counting Israel). You're the first person to positively comment on my English in a while, actually. I used to get those comments all the time on AH.com I hoped that maybe you also happened to be in Moscow (and/or planned to visit it soon) and we could meet personally. I did already successfully meet another CCF member earlier this year.
