Would someone tell me what I should be grading this coin and if you have any idea of what it would be worth, would you let me know? Thank you!

I would grade it f-12. My next stop to determine value is here: https://www.PCGS.com/prices/pricegu...l.aspx?c=716

I scroll down to 1895 here: http://www.PCGScoinfacts.com/Coin/Detail/5610
There are no graded auction results for f-12 so I click back to the previous page.

I scroll back up to the top and click on the grades 1-20 tab.
I scroll back down to 1895 and look at the number under the 12 column which has the value listed at $35.

So in a perfect world your coin's full retail value is $35.

I don't think so!

A common date ,well circulated it could make it at F-12,Here is one close to yours on the bay,buy it now $8.95
https://www.ebay.com/itm/1895-25C-B...AOSwPK1ZUTIy

And another one, buy it now $9.95
https://www.ebay.com/itm/1895-25C-B....c100623.m-1

The examples should give you an idea as where yours stands.

And to the community.

Any listed figure in a book is always arbitrary. It won't realize that value in a resale market unfortunately. Those are great figures to use when determining a collection value for insurances purposes tho...

Hi Mike, thanks for taking the time to check this out. I have a question, how did you come up with f12? What types of things are you looking at? I'm curious!

I eyeballed it. You don't have to buy a guide. Everything you need to learn on how to grade is just a google search away. You can search 'how to grade Barber quarters' = https://www.google.com/search?ei=Ox....Npf01HYYpOU

The first result is a good start. http://www.barbercoins.org/Barber-Q...rading.shtml

VG-8/10 , the first thing I look at when viewing any Barber coin is the word ''Liberty'' . I can just barely make it out on your coin . $7 - $11 .
