Another one that I simply had to have, even if I overpaid!

This one is actually a bit of a stumper... I just assumed it would be an easy ID, but I am struggling a bit with it.

M ANTONINVS AVG GERM SARM, laureate head right
TR P XXXI IMP VIIII COS III P P, Jupiter seated left, holding Victory and sceptre.
RIC#?

Marcus-Aurelius---Portrait-Of-A-Philosopher

With IMP VIII, this would be RIC 371, apparently a rare coin as I was only able to find three separate examples; one owned by the ANA, one by the British Museum, and one that sold in Roma Numismatics Sale 23, lot 505. But this uses the same features, but was minted after his ninth Imperial Acclamatio, sometime in late 177 but before the renewal of his Tribunician power (TRP XXXII) in December of that year.

Might have to beg Irbguy for help on this one!

Anywho, here's one of my favorite Marcus Aurelius quotes, penned by the emperor himself in his book Meditations:

Quote:
When you wake up in the morning, tell yourself: the people I deal with today will be meddling, ungrateful, arrogant, dishonest, jealous and surly. They are like this because they can't tell good from evil. But I have seen the beauty of good, and the ugliness of evil, and have recognized that the wrongdoer has a nature related to my own - not of the same blood and birth, but the same mind, and possessing a share of the divine. And so none of them can hurt me. No one can implicate me in ugliness

Looks like we have a match! Thanks Arnold!

Do they have an image on the plate? I googled around for it, and I can find it in the numismatics.org database, but no images anywhere!
Rest in Peace

Nice coin, but I really like that quote from Marcus Aurelius!
"If you climb a good tree, you get a push."
-----Ghanaian proverb

"The danger we all now face is distinguishing between what is authentic and what is performed."
