Yes, after hearing the recommendations here, this will be the path I take. To be honest, my motivation for this was/is to keep the entire Dansco MS61 or better. With the exception of two (those are AU58's), the entire album is MS61 or better. The entire album 38-64 has been created from broken out slabs. I'm not a grader or dealer so I don't trust my grading skills. I have pictures of all the coins in their slabs w/ the bar codes in the back of the album. Edited by USSID18

Yes, what your asking about is very similar to Collectorscorner.com It is run by the parent company of PCGS and most of the top dealers post their inventory there. There are 9 Washington 1932-D quarters in the MS61-62 range, none in MS-60 but I would discourage you from that grade as it would probably be a coin with problems. At least one of the 61's is a CAC stickered coin which is what you should strive to collect at this range.
You can also check out PCGS CoinFacts. They list the coins posted on the collectors corner website for the applicable specific coin and grade when those coins are available. Collectorscorner.com? I had not heard of that website. I'll check it out, thanks. |

All of the major shows publish a list of attending dealers well before the event. You can, as I do, use this list to find and explore the websites of dealers you're unfamiliar with, to see who tends to carry coins in the same category as your interest. Those will be the ones most likely to "accidentally" have what you're looking for. FUN and the World's Fair of Money are about the only shows too large to be completely "done" in one day by a determined collector. I can normally see every table at a Whitman show in about 4-5 hours. |
