A gift of coins from the woman who has tuned me out or shushed me when ever I brought up the subject for almost 20 years. I can't imagine, and can't wait to see, what she has chosen. "Santa" can't get here soon enough this year!
Rest in Peace

Well that is always a nice treat when a family member does that! I know the feeling of getting tuned out when I start talking coins! I look forward to seeing what you get.

Good luck! Has she been given the crash course in what you like and what to look for?

Not to scare or dishearten, but I am reminded of the time that my mother in law (a yard sale denzien) kindly remembered me when she saw a bunch of coins at a yard sale, buying not just Cook Island NIFC junk, but counterfeit Cook Island NIFC junk.

Anyway, good luck and let us know what happens!

My wife doesn't know the first thing about collecting, so she usually just tells me to take some "extra" money to the local show that rolls around at this time of year.

Christmas presents are easier for others, if you happen to be a bullion stasher.

Oh no! This has never worked out well for me and I feel guilty getting rid of them afterwards. I still have my silver plated reproduction Morgan's from a few years back. They may be going to my Secret Santa recipient!!

If she hasn't cared for 20 years that's scary - I still have the Painted ASE's I received a few Christmas's ago - just in case I get asked - "do you still have those pretty colorful coins I got you?"

I know I'm getting a sweater. Bummer.

I was sort of hoping for Roman gold.

I will probably get money from my Mother, and a sweater/sweat-shirt from my sister. I don't expect much else.

The only really good present I need from my kids is that they each have a happy, healthy loving family.

For presents, I scored quite well as a kid, but I don't need much now, save for hugs'n kisses. That does me just fine, and gives me a warm fuzzy feeling.

My coin collecting wishes are way too finniky, and are best forgotten about by others.

Forget about coins for presents. I only want edible things. Chocolate coins, for instance.

Brave of any spouse - who is a non-collector - to go out and get a coin gift for their significant other.
I pray that mine doesn't try....
