I have this penny with an odd rim. I've read here about such things as Dryer Coins, but do not know what to make of this coin. I don't know much about such things and know you all can settle it for me. Thank in advance.

The first image shows the coin in question (right) along with a more normal coin.

Yep. It would appear to be a Dryer Coin. Assuming the wider one in your first picture is the cent in question.

Not an error coin. It's Post Strike Damage (happened after it left the U.S. Mint). It's a Dryer Coin. Worth face value since it's damage.
