This is for motion picture projection carbons. Does anyone know what this token would have been used for?

Yes, I misspoke when calling it a token. What would a key tag be used for?

Very simple. It would be used just like the tags used by the War Amps today. Someone loses the keys with the tag. The person who finds it tosses it in a mailbox and the company gets it keys back.

OK I think I get it, so basically this would have belonged to an employee at the company with the company issued keys. Thanks for all the help!
