It looks like bronze desease - except that this is silver, since it is a Septimus Severus denarus. Does anyone know what it is? And eventually what to do?

How sure are you that it is a true silver denarius and not a base metal copy or even a "limes"?

Looks like it might be a Limes Denarus with some old bronze disease that is under control.

Silver can suffer bronze disease if the copper content is high enough; a debased denarius can certainly get eaten away. I have an Roman silver tetradrachm from Alexandria that has been severely corroded by BD.
