Mr cruise, how rare are the helmet Cuds? whats the percentage estimate you would give to find one in a bunch of those coins?

From memory I only found one helmet Cud - not a very common error

The 2008 5c is known with a double rim but there has been no explanation for it.
The 1978 10c has had a hard life, as has the 1975 coin with the crimped edge.
Not sure about the others.

Thank you so much mr T! The ten cent with the weird rim looks similar to the Anzac dollar rims and doesn't shoe any signs of scratch or wear? Milling is perfect on edges...
Funny, the 1978 is my favourite coin to examine the die seems to have flowed everywhere #128530;

All PMD except the 1 dollar rabbit ear + backpack roo, much less common with all those together.

Most interesting find today....well, for me that is.

Year of older persons Die Deterioration Doubling on the reverse, and a queen's beauty spot (Die chip, or Cud) on the obverse. I don't really find a lot of DDD on the $1 coins, so it was an eye opener for me

Lots going on there.
Those 1999 dollar coins have to be the worst-struck of the lot anyway.
