T-BOP - I put magnet on both side of the coin and it didn't stick. I'm not saying you're wrong...I just wish I know what this coin is. Nevertheless, after all the researched I've done...it's possible that I have the only copy of it and that's a very rare and unusual.

Quote:I would guess struck in copper and then plated on the ASE side calicoy9, The magnet test wouldn't work if it's plated copper. Without actually seeing the coin, I tend to side with Foxwoods Man. It's a novelty token made from copper then plated silver on one side and gold on the other side.

if you were to weigh the coin, that would tell us a lot, because gold and silver would be significantly heavier than any copper/ cuproninikle coin of the same size.

Quote: Foxwoods Man - I'm not sure if I'm reading this chart/table right. Hard to read it wrong. It's a chart of US Mint coin sizes. The object in question is not a US coin...it is not even a counterfeit OF a US coin because that combo doesn't exist. Consider it a token...a novelty item. Weighing it is pointless because there is nothing REAL to compare it to. I guess it will tell you what it weighs but where will you go with that?

I know this an old post from 2019. I have the exact coin. It is a part of a 22 k gold Eagle set from 2000 (The Morgan Mint). The set contains one each of a $5 - $10- $25 and a $50 gold Eagle and your coin was also in the set from Morgan mint.
Since I'm new here- I'm trying to figure out how to upload a couple images to my post so that you can see the set. Still can't seem to crop the pics small enough.

Mine came in a 5 pack of gold eagles - 5,10,25 and 50 dollar denominations. From Morgan mint. I've been trying to post a picture of the box but since I'm new here, I can't figure out how to crop the box of eagles small enough. (using an IPhone). I inherited a coin collection containing gold and silver coins and I'm trying to find out what they are worth. I joined here to run them by the experts but it might take a while to figure out the picture adding. Thank you

I think I figured it out? This is the image of a 2000 set of gold eagles I inherited. It shows the half gold/half platinum or silver coin at bottom left. I tried to find the exact box online but can't. I also have a five coin gold Morgan mint eagle set that include walking liberty (silver) as a bonus (found the receipt from 2000).
