Beautiful coins, Jim.

A full 1964 d mint roll of dimes and a 1940 walker for 37.50. I made out like a bandit.

I picked up a well worn 1931-D Mercury dime at a coinshop today for $9. It had full rims, and is probably G-6, (many people would say VG). Considering most coins like this have been over $10 on ebay, at least when you add shipping, I think I did alright.

I need to take it easy on the spending right now because we have a coin show in 2 weeks. But I did buy 4 unc quarters for my 32-98 w/ proof set. 1954-S, 1955-D, 1962, 1963. Also bought a 1943 steel cent unc. I started the Silver Eagle set by buying the 1996. And I went a little crazy last week and bought the American Eagle 20th Anniversary Silver set.

justjimrob ... that's just the picture. She's actually a "Hot 50" VAM and I was testing the membership. Can you spot the die clashes? Hint - check the reverse.

Google told me it is a 1886-P VAM-1C 3 + 2 Clashed Reverse.

Give that man a cigar! The seller didn't see the clashes and sold it as an Unc specimen ... $25

Nice find! And only $25, that's at least a $35 or $40 coin right...



I saw a nice looking ANACS 64 on ebay for $230.

My photography needs help. The fields are very clean and the strike is a bit better than average. The coin without the VAM 1-C is worth about $40. I don't have any current information on the premium, if any, for that die pair. I'm not worried about that ... it's in my collection now.
