French (second) Empire - 100 francs, 1855: I like the elaborate coat of arms on the reverse.

I had to post at least one Morgan dollar here! This isn't my best one but it is my favorite as it was given to me by a colleague of my Mom's (an American teacher who came over to England on an exchange scheme) back in 1976!

Day 10 Felix Schlag is famous for the Jefferson nickel but he also has 4 large sterling silver medals to his credit minted in the 1960's. Most commonly found are the Herbert Hoover and Chief John Big Tree both having total mintages of 5,249 each. Betsy Ross is a bit difficult to find with a mintage of 3,220. Paul Revere is the most elusive with a mintage of 1,266. I fortunately have all four, and an extra Betsy Ross. 1967 Paul Revere IFCS MedalInternational (Free Mason) Fraternal Commemorative Society

I've always loved the 'Hercules' design by the French engraver Augustin Dupre. I first became aware of it on the big silver 10-franc pieces issued between 1965 and 1973. This 1967 one was one of four I managed to get for face value from a branch of the Caisse d'Epargne in Lyon in 1976:

United States -- 20 dollars, 1908: This is just a bullion coin, but it was my first 20-dollar coin, received as a Christmas present in the mid-1960s, when it was much cheaper. Here's an old film photo of the same coin:
