sfitzernator Valued Member Australia 271 Posts	Posted 06/08/2019 5:19 pm I have just been going through some bags of 50cents that I have lying around, and thought I would post this find. Closer investigation of what I thought was a scratch at the base of the roo's foot revealed a nice surprise. A lot of metal flow (not sure of the correct terminology), around the roo's legs, shield, and the 50 legend. Very messy, and a very rewarding find. Report this Post to the Staff

Sadly not that valuable :(, though I collect them :). I think we should start calling them the Sloppy 50 cents, I wonder if the RAM will then start to pick up on this. If you look closely under the roos butt, and between the emu's legs, there are what I believe to be Die Polishing Lines. However, the coin "texture" is quite pimply. Could it be a re-worked die that "failed"?, very early in it's working life? Report this Post to the Staff
