Well, to be clear the 2017 Congratulations set contains an S-proof, not a W. But yes, regardless of the year and MM it's the same Proof ASE that would come in either its own OGP or part of another set. Note that TPGs will label them according to the set they came in, as long as you ship them a sealed box from the Mint. That drives some of what basebal21 is referring to above - some collectors distinguish between the various OGPs. |

So what I am trying to do is put together a full set of ASE Proofs in all the OGP available. I thought it was just the proof year in the little square boxes but I do have a congratulations set from 2019 sounds like I need more plus some S mint marks from recent years and some anniversary sets in 2011 and/or 2012. Is there anything else I am missing? How long have they been doing the congratulations sets for? Is there a definitive list somewhere of all the proof ASE's in different OGP that were made? Not the uncirculated or burnished but proof? |

It would take me a little while to pull it all together and I'm sure I'd miss some.... but there are quite a number of products that have ASEs in them. LESPS, Annual $1 Coin Set, Congratulations Set, etc. There are also various special sets (20th and 25th anniversary sets, SF Set, etc.) debrajc may know if still around... |

Do you mean still in the OGP or that it just had to come from all of them. 95 W will be pricey either way but you can get some lower grade graded ones cheaper than you would getting the full gold set it came in. |

Seems like the 1995-W will haunt me. I am also doing a set of PCGS PR70DCAM's and that one coin is really pricey in that grade. I don't know if I will ever be able to afford two of them

Good point, Foxwoods. Let's steer it back to the Pride of Two Nations discussion. jax, feel free to start your own topic on ASE OGP. I will happily contribute to that one. As I mentioned above I am definitely in for one on this Pride of Two Nations set as I am an ASE collector. |

Ok...how about this: 100k listed mintage ( ASE) 100k PRODUCT limit ..but there will be 10k sold in a Canada set. SO is it 100k (90k USA/10k Canada) or 110k mintage of the ASE..... Edited by Foxwoods Man

Got an email from MCM which may or may not be reliable Quote:Limited Mintage The United States Mint and the Royal Canadian Mint jointly decided that a strict 110,000 set mintage be set for this product. Of the entire mintage, just 10,000 will be distributed by the Royal Canadian Mint with the rest being disseminated by the United States Mint. This in effect creates one of the lowest mintage silver eagles ever released by the United States Mint! I read somewhere that the 10,000 sets sold in Canada will numbered.
If I were to be able to get a numbered Canadian set how would NGC grade them?
I understand that in order to get ER you have to send the coins in a sealed box, but what if I order two sets and only want to grade one of the two sets?
