Quote:The Royal Canadian Mint show that they are 95% SOLD already! 75% of them were probably purchased by HSN. They'll likely claim that only 10,000 are available, compare it to the 1995-W proof ASE mintage of 30,125 and claim that the 1995-W proof ASE's sell for $20,000.

Yes -2003 Legacies of Freedom - ASE Unc. + 2 Pound British Silver Qty: 48816 The Legacies of Freedom set had uncirculated bullion coins in it, not proofs and no W mintmark on the ASE. Here's the Mint's announcement for the set. Here's a link to an old APMEX page with information about the set with photos.

RCM now states: awaiting stock, available from official dealers. I wonder what this means?

Means it's sold out unless there's cancelations

You're right the packaging is nicer. Would have liked to of purchased one so I could have one from each country but was late to the party. I'll keep checking as they may be become available again.

Quote:Quote:Just received an email from APMEX stating they'll buy the sets off anyone for $20 over mint price. Must sign up through them before purchase. I guess they're anticipating a quick sell out and future value increase. Did it say who's paying for shipping and insurance? If it's you, then that $20 will take a big hit For anyone interested in the offer from APMEX, APMEX is paying for the shipping to them. Shipping from the US Mint to you is your nickel

Can you post the letter, or at least excerpts? Do they have a limit? I wonder if they have done this before, and if so how the product value changed.
