Was wondering if this is just ware, Die Deterioration or doubling that makes it look like parts of the upper balcony is missing. Didn't know if the top part has some doubling on the balcony's top railings. Hopefully you'll be able to know what I'm taking about with pictures.

Ok well Others have the design on it and so would that of been a proof coin at one time than, since design is missing?

Only S-mint nickels were proof strikes for 1972, so it is a normal business strike from Denver.
