This coin has been circulated and is pretty beat up. Looks like split plating around LIBERTY, and lots of staining around the obverse and reverse. You can Safely spend it. :)

Lol ok, thanks. I think it's pretty hilarious the way people here use the phrase, "you can safely spend it", so often.

There is a 1999 D DDO but yours is not it I'm afraid. Zinc rot is setting in as well.

Occasionally we get pretty strong push back from someone who thinks they have found a million dollar coin. Of course we all have different threshholds for what is worth saving and you should absolutely save this coin if you want to. The exposed zinc has put this coin on a downward spiral though and the condition will not only not improve with time, but will absolutely deteriorate.
